The simplest converter in the Snap Data range. 1 plastic optical fiber port and 1 Ethernet port: just what you need to bring your connection from the router to another point in your home, or to complete the other end of the installation with a single device.
What is it used for?
The ACT1001 is the most basic converter in the range: one POF port and one Ethernet port. It is always used in pairs or combined with other models, in two typical positions within an installation:
As the source, next to the router
It connects to the router via Ethernet and converts the signal to plastic optical fiber to send it to another area of the home.
As the destination, with a single device
At the other end of the fiber, it converts the signal back to Ethernet to connect a single device: TV, console, PC…

What's included

The plastic optical fiber cable is not included. If you are setting up a new run, add the POF cable in the length you need from the accessories section.
ABR technology: stability even under less-than-ideal conditions
The ABR (Automatic Bit Rate) system automatically adjusts the speed to keep the connection active even when the maximum bandwidth cannot be reached:
- Up to 50 meters → full speed (1 Gbps)
- Greater distance or damaged cable → reduces speed but maintains the connection
This function is only activated when the device at the other end is also compatible (ACT1001, ACT4001, or ACT1002 flush-mounted).

Connect the first converter to the router
Connect the router to the converter using an Ethernet cable. This will be the point from which the connection will go to the other room.
Run the fiber to the area where you need internet
Route the Plastic Optical Fiber cable to the bedroom, office, living room, or any other room where you want to have the connection.
Connect the second converter at the endpoint
At the destination, connect the fiber to the second converter to restore the connection and make it ready for use.
