Add one more connection point to your installed Snap Data network. Includes the converter, fiber, and cutting tool to bring the connection to a new area and connect up to 3 devices by cable.

New network point Up to 3 devices 1 Gbps real speed with no loss
1 Gbps real speed, with no loss
ACT2003: 2 POF + 3 Ethernet
20 m of fiber included
Scalable system, keep expanding whenever you want

What it's used for

This pack is designed exclusively to expand an existing Snap Data installation: add a new network point in another room or floor, with the capacity to connect several devices from there.

Is it for you?

Yes, if...

  • You already have an Actelser POF installation and want to expand it
  • You need a connection in another room or floor
  • You want to connect several devices from the new point
  • You're looking for a stable solution without relying on WiFi

Another option may be better if...

  • You don't have a plastic optical fiber installation yet → start with a Kit Single 1 Gbps
  • You only need to connect 1 device at the new point → ACT1001 (more affordable)
  • You need to extend the fiber beyond this point → see the ACT-2003 options separately

What this pack includes

  • 1 Snap Data POF converter ACT2003 (2 POF ports + 3 RJ45 Ethernet ports)
  • 1 roll of plastic optical fiber (20 meters, black)
  • 1 cutting tool for POF fiber

Designed to connect directly to your existing Snap Data installation. Does not include an additional power supply or Ethernet cables.

How it works

1
Extend your current network Connect the new fiber section from any point in your existing installation where you want to expand.
2
Run the fiber Bring the 20-meter roll to the new area through the existing conduit.
3
Install the ACT2003 Connect the converter in the new area, with its 3 Ethernet outputs ready to use.
4
Connect your devices Up to 3 devices per cable, with a stable, loss-free connection.

Differences compared to other Snap Data converters

Model POF Ports Ethernet outputs Typical use
ACT1001 1 1 Simple source or destination
ACT1003 1 3 Destination with multiple devices
ACT2003 (in this pack) 2 3 Expandable new point, with the option to continue the fiber run
ACT4001 4 (output, switch-type) 0 direct Distribute to multiple points at once

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to already have a POF installation?
Yes. This pack is designed to expand an existing Snap Data network; it does not include the source converter next to the router. If you do not yet have an installation, start with a complete kit.
Does it lose speed when adding a new point?
No, it maintains speeds of up to 1 Gbps under optimal conditions, with the same performance as the rest of your installation.
How many devices can I connect?
Up to 3 devices per point through the ACT2003’s RJ45 ports, with the gigabit bandwidth shared between them according to what each device is using at any given time.
Can I continue expanding the network later?
Yes. Since it includes an ACT2003 with 2 POF ports, this same point can serve as the starting point for an additional run in the future, without having to redo the installation already in place.
Is 20 meters of fiber enough?
It depends on the route to the new area. 20 meters is usually enough for adjacent rooms or areas on the same floor. If you need more distance, you can buy additional POF cable in the length you need from the accessories section.
Is it difficult to install?
No. It includes everything you need (converter, fiber, and cutting tool) for easy installation on your existing network. If you get stuck, write to us and the Actelser technical team will guide you.
What if it doesn’t work in my case?
You have 14 days to return it. And if you have any questions before buying, write to us: we’ll confirm whether your case is compatible before you pay anything.
