How it works

At the heart of the kit is the ACT4001 POF switch: it connects to the router via Ethernet and distributes the signal across 4 independent plastic optical fiber lines. Each line reaches an ACT1003 converter, with 3 Ethernet outputs, in the area where you need it. This covers up to 4 points in your home, all with real fiber and the same performance as the router, without relying on WiFi anywhere.

Connect the switch Plug the ACT4001 into the router with an Ethernet cable.

Average time: 2 hours for the entire installation. No special tools required. Fiber cutters are included in the kit.

Important before connecting Remove the dust caps from the optical connectors as soon as the equipment is connected to power, even if you are not going to use that port yet.

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from the Kit Premium?
The Kit Gold covers up to 4 points, one for each output of the ACT4001 switch. The Kit Premium adds an ACT2003 converter that lets you extend one of those lines to a 5th point, for homes that need one additional area.
Will all points run at maximum speed at the same time?
Yes. Each fiber line is independent from the switch, so intensive use in one area does not affect the others. Within each point, the converter shares its bandwidth among the connected devices just like any home switch.
Do I lose speed compared with the router’s speed?
No. Each fiber line maintains 100% of your router’s speed up to 50 meters. If your fiber connection is 600 Mbps, each point receives a real 600 Mbps, without the typical loss from WiFi or PLC.
Why should I remove the dust protectors?
The protectors are only for transport. Once the equipment is connected to power, remove them even if you are not going to use that port yet, to prevent heat or moisture from accumulating in the connector.
Does it work inside my existing electrical conduit?
Yes. POF cable is 2.2 mm in diameter, much thinner than an Ethernet cable, and flexible. It easily passes through the same conduits already used by your electrical or telephone installation.
Is it difficult to install if I’m not a technician?
No. Each line connects in the same way: switch → fiber → converter. The kit includes fiber cutters and a step-by-step manual. If you get stuck, write to us and the Actelser technical team will guide you.
Can I expand to more points later?
Yes. The system is modular: we have expansion packs with additional compatible converters (ACT1001, ACT1003, ACT2003, ACT1002) so you can keep adding points in the future.
What if it doesn’t work in my situation?
