Media converter with 3 RJ45 and 2 POF. This extended version of our converter allows to continue two other elements acting as daisy chain or daisy chain to chain more converters and extend the plastic fiber optic network with more points.
Includes its own power supply.
Plastic Fiber Optic Media Converter at 1 Gbps speed with access via 3 RJ45 ports. It has 2 full duplex ports of Plastic Optic Fiber and 3 RJ45. It can be positioned as an intermediate point in an installation along with other converters.
It is often used as an intermediate network element although, sometimes and depending on the configuration you want to give, it can be used as the start of the POF network by connecting it to the router. Allows simultaneous connection of 3 devices via Ethernet delivering 100% of the original point speed. The data is transmitted via "POF" plastic fiber optics without guaranteed loss up to 50 meters and a maximum transmission speed 1000 Mbps. The equipment comes with its own power supply and cable.

Is Plastic Fiber Optic better than Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi, by itself, sees its range attenuated depending on the distance and the obstacles between the point of emission and reception of its signal, which does not happen with POF . However, a POF installation can be perfectly complemented with a Wi-Fi transmitter at the receiving point.
Can Plastic Optical Fiber be used with Wi-Fi?
